David Fuller, DMF Decorators
I was decorating an apartment in the centre of London, and the owner had asked me to install a TV into the lounge wall as part of the project. I needed to do some sanding down to make sure it fitted properly, so I covered all the furniture with sheets and got on with the job.
I had the window open the whole time as it was a hot day - we were four floors up so I didn't think there would be any problems with the dust.
However, I didn't realise that the lady from the flat upstairs had also left her window open all day, and I bet you can guess where all the dust ended up! Her furniture and floor were covered and I spent the rest of the day cleaning her flat too!
Needless to say, I always make sure that all the windows are closed when sanding - whatever the weather!
