Churchill Academy- Pupils Become Colour Experts

Churchill Academy & Sixth Form's new ICT and Business suite has been co-designed by students who will benefit from its use in the future. A group of Year 9 were given the chance to be directly involved in the design process from beginning to end with the help of Dulux Smarter Spaces, creating a brand new and brilliantly inspiring educational setting for their own educational future.

Churchill Academy & Sixth Form had a Dulux Smarter Spacers Makeover to completely transform their ICT Business Suite.

Promoting the concept of learner-led design, Dulux's Smarter Spaces initiative was established to help schools thrive based on the belief that a colourful and vibrant space can help inspire teachers and students alike.

Drawing upon students' knowledge of the school building and its setting, Dulux's Colour Advisor began to brainstorm colour schemes that would bring the school's identity to life

Students voted for a bright and exciting colour scheme with each classroom decorated with a colourful teaching wall to direct the attention of the students to the front of the room

Churchill Academy, is one of many schools supported by educational charity the Outward Bound Trust (Dulux Parent Company, AkzoNobel's charity partner), which helps pupils develop their skills in the outdoor environment
