Interior project up to £1,499- Andrew Sheasby

For his award winning entry, Andrew completed the redecoration of a living room for a new customer following a recommendation. This project involved significant preparation work to both the walls and woodwork before the wallpaper application and paintwork.

"The workmanship, timekeeping and sheer professionalism was such a pleasure to encounter. Andrew has ideas which showed enormous artistic ability. The end product is now the envy of my friends and I am absolutely thrilled with it. I will certainly be contacting Andrew again to do more work for me in the future."- Homeowner

Interior project up to £1,499- Martin Connor

Our second winner in this category was Martin Connor who was approached about his winning job after the homeowners saw the high standard of the work he'd completed on a nearby new housing development. Thoroughly impressed by his quality finish, the homeowners tasked Martin with the renovation of their hall, stairs and landing and were not disappointed.

"Martin's attention to detail was meticulous, faultless. I would and have recommended Martin too anybody looking for a superior finish to any decorating they have done. Most satisfied ourselves."- Homeowner.

Interior project £1,500 - £2,999- Anthony Nolan

For his winning entry, Anthony was enlisted to apply the finishing touches to a project spanning almost 11 years to convert a former 1840s Parish Council Building and School. The homeowner had conducted thorough research into the building in order to do justice to this historical building and required a decorator capable of doing the same.

"This project deserved an experienced hand, time and attention to detail. His can-do attitude made what seemed to me to be a huge and complex job, a lot easier. It was a pleasure and a relief seeing my ideas come to life, and the quality of his workmanship, his knowledge of techniques, products and materials gave me reassurance and guaranteed a quality finish- all within budget too. I'm thrilled with the outcome."- Homeowner

Interior project over £3,000 and Grand Winner- Peter Smith

Peter Smith was awarded not only the prize for the 'Interior project over £3,000' but also the accolade of overall Grand Winner for his project on behalf of a long standing client. The homeowners had spent the last 3 years restoring a large, neglected Victorian and entrusted Peter to complete the decoration work in the dining room.

The room required some serious attention and Peter was involved from the offset. Working alongside builders and others tradesmen in order to prepare the room before moving onto Peter the extensive paintwork and wallpapering. Peter's highly professional approach throughout, left the homeowner delighted.

"He demonstrated a remarkable degree of patience and tolerance in that situation which would really test any trades person. Labour intensive doesn't begin to describe the process but again Peter just got on with the work without complaint. Peter is such a gentleman and nice person to have working in the house. To be honest he fits in very well and is so obliging in every way that you simply cannot fault his customer service."- Homeowner.

We would also like to congratulate Les Copestake and Robbie Dodds who were both 'highly commended' in the Exterior project category.
