Discussing life as a decorator
It's been a tough time for people in the world of decorating over the past few months, so here at Dulux Academy, we decided we wanted to share some best practices, and take a look at how professionals can make the most of the situation and adapt to the new normal. We will be interviewing some characters of our trade, and some industry experts throughout this series to chat about life as a decorator during and post lockdown.
A little more about Dulux Academy Skills Development Consultant Tony Pearson-Young
Upon leaving school, Tony gained an indentured apprenticeship with a commercial painting contractor in Manchester, and quickly realised he had a passion and a skill for painting and decorating, which led to an Advanced City & Guilds - with Distinction. Ten years later he started his own business and has received a number of industry awards and accreditations. Thirty years on, his passion and a pride for painting and decorating are as strong as ever, as he looks to share his knowledge and pass on skills to course attendees at the Dulux Academy, and now with you as the host of the Dulux Academy Podcast.
