Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre

Highdown School will bring what is currently a dark and dreary art and photography room "back to life", creating an environement that inspires students through the use of contrasting bright walls and old fashioned picture frames. The makeover will also include a gallery wall to showcase and encourage the brilliant work produced by pupils. As part of their prize, both of the winning schools recieved a surprise visit from the internationally famous Dulux Dog and Matthew Burton, star of TV's Educating Yorkshire and ambassador for the campaign also making a visit to Highdown School. Matthew said: "I really support the concept of learner-led design as I believe children are much more likely to be engaged if they have a bright and colourful space that they've had some element of creative control over. I look forward to seeing the finished results!"
