Dulux Academy Celebrates 1st Anniversary with Free Masterclasses to Support National Apprenticeship Week
To mark this year's tenth annual National Apprenticeship Week, the Dulux Academy has announced it is to offer a range of courses free of charge to apprentice decorators. From 7-10th March 2017, the academy will commend the impact of apprenticeships on the painting and decorating industry, with courses taking place at the flagship Dulux Academy in Slough as well as at Leeds College.
With 50 places available, Dulux Academy, which will also celebrate its first anniversary on 10th March, is inviting current painting and decorating apprentices to take part in the three two-day 'Masterclass' events, designed to support and supplement their training. Providing an opportunity to take part in a range of decorating based activities, the courses will offer expert advice on technique.
In addition to the Master Class events Dulux Academy will be holding their 1st Birthday party on Friday 10th March from 12pm to 4pm inviting suppliers, apprentices, employers and decorators to visit the Slough centre, see the work of the apprentices over the week, meet the Dulux Dog, enjoy some birthday cake and celebrate the achievements of the first year. Plus the chance to win a goodie bag, available for the first 20 guests.
The Academy will also be holding short sessions (30-45 minutes) for decorators attending to showcase the urban/organic effects course offered. Giving the opportunity to get hands on.
