We had a fantastic time at this year's event, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and it was great to see so many of you over the two days! Attendees had the opportunity to meet our Dulux Academy trainers, and find out about the range of courses and locations on offer. If you visited the stand don't forget you have until the 31st December to use your exclusive discount code to get 25% off your course fees.

In addition, visitors to the Dulux stand were treated to taster of two of the current craft courses on offer at Dulux Academy. Keep reading to find out more.

Urban and Organic effects take centre stage at industry show

Increasingly, designers are using inspiration from nature to create spaces that are in harmony with the natural world. Organic effects such as bark, fabric and stone are now some of the most popular design trends.

Urban effects such as faux stone, concrete and rusty metal sheeting are also increasingly common.

Ensuring that you are at the cutting edge of design trends can help you win more business and position you with a point of difference. With organic and urban effects becoming more popular in both residential and commercial projects, learning the skills to create these effects can keep you a step ahead of the competition.

On our stand this year, our trainers demonstrated some of the skills taught on our specialist Organic Designs and Urban Designs courses. Visitors were able to enjoy a taster session of these courses, demonstrating some of the skills that can be learned at the Dulux Academy.

Improve your skills and stand apart from your competition

Being able to transform spaces using decorative painting effects is a useful skill to have. The Dulux Academy Organic Effects and Urban Effects courses show you how to create faux finishes to replicate organic and urban materials, and teach the skills needed to successfully apply a range of effects.

Visitors to this year's Painting and Decorating Show saw a little of what these courses offer, but if you missed out then take a look at our website for more information.
